Remember my previous post on my excitement over discovering our '1' cherry and waiting for it to ripen?
I've been checking on it everyday and it was getting a beautiful blush color. Must mean it was soon to ripen!Neil and I were going to 'share' half and half of this harvest!
Hmm, afraid not!
The birds seem to beat us to it! Sniff, sob! :o(
I hope they enjoyed it!Next year....netting! Har! Har! Birds! :o)

It's true, netting is probably what it will take. My cherry tree is big enough that the birds eat all the ones on top, so the underside is still filled with plenty for me, I mean us ;)
BUT mine also get worms - curses!
Those mean and naughty birds!!! I suppose if you look at the bright side at least they were thoughtful enough to save half of it for you...a quarter for you and a quarter for Neil :)
