Well little Miss Kirsten has been soooo interested in my one display on my mother's serving buffet.

I caught her once a few days ago when she caught the edge of the green polka dot cloth and I saw her in time before it was almost to the edge. I was busy in the kitchen getting her lunch together and I heard this muffled 'clunk' and I dismissed it. Then I heard a 'crash!' I raced from the kitchen around to where Kirsten was and saw all the mess on the floor around Kirsten!

I did the 'wrong' mommy thing! I raised my voice and said, "You naughty, bad, little girl! You shouldn't have done that!"

Pause...

Rephrase....

Then I said, "Kirsten I apologize. You are not naughty and bad. What you did was naughty and bad. You shouldn't have done that. You could have got hurt. That vase is heavy."

She looked up at me with a dead pan look like ...'So. I enjoyed it!'

She doesn't take me seriously when I scold her because she rarely is naughty!

Hmmm. So, I shortened the cloth and I'll take a 'wait and see' approach.
