The pestilence of the earth! Arrggg!

WASPS! They serve no useful purpose other than being the 'pestilence' of the Earth! How dare they bite our sweet cherub Adelaide! Bad! Naughty! Wasps! Grrrr! Adelaide got '4' wasp bites...one her left thigh, two on her right thigh and one her left index finger. I failed to get a picture of her screaming, crying face....but I think you can use your imagination! Anyone that ever been bit by a wasp knows how bad it hurts and burns and stings all at the same time! :o(

Poor Lisa, she does not fair well when her babies are hurt, etc. I do wish I had some household ammonia or meat tenderizer. We sufficed with a baking soda paste, then that wonderful herbal aid cream and then a ice pack. Grandpa gave her a blessing too! It was just at lunchtime and close to nap time for Adelaide but I had Lisa keep her up for one hour to be safe. If she was going to have any type of reaction it would have happened the first 15 minutes. Twenty minutes later she was her 'little busy self' as if nothing happened.
When I finished up the first aid, I went out front just past my front door and to the right where I have a small flower bed and there sitting nice a sassy were two wasps. Not for long! They were dead in a few seconds as I hit them with wasp spray! That'll teach them! I keep it sprayed for nests but these two snuck in and now they'll not be bothering anyone ever again!

Fun Times! A Little of This and That!

In July Michelle and her kids came up to visit prior to our Guptill family reunion. Jordan and Lisa and their girls came up to visit with Michelle and her kids while in WA. Wow! Lots of fun! We did a little of everything. Grandma, Diana, pretty much had to stay home with Kirsten, but Michelle and Lisa and their kids went on side trips and did some caching. We printed and cut out paper dolls and had them laminated. We put sticky velcro on them and the girls loved their paper dolls. They did the pool and slip and slide. They went to the little open market in town and bought HUGE suckers. Grandma has a bean and a rice bin that the girls played with and thus we have decorate fingers and toes with rings! David and Angela came over and David flipped the girls like propellers and they squealed with delight! Grandma and Michelle and Lisa went to the temple one afternoon and that was wonderful! It was wonderful because the moms were children free for awhile! Jordan and Grandpa survived! The kids survived! Michelle's kids set up their tent and Grandma had a tent they set up and the kids slept outside at night. LaRue and Matilda braved two nights out in the tents too! Then we all headed down for the Guptill family reunion in Oregon City at Grandma Valdine's.

Rather Puzzling!

Neither picture is 'perfect' but gives you some idea of the puzzle Lisa and I put together this week. It took two days. It was a Gallery Series, wood puzzle, 1,000 pieces. I knew Lisa liked challenges and boy was this one a challenge! It looks so pretty all finished. I'm sorry my photos do not give it the justice it deserves. Lisa has another we will put together very soon. It is a challenge as well and also has 1,000 pieces and I will post it when we complete it. :o)
